Conveyor structures: design, wear and spares

Mining operation with material transport

The belt conveyor is the artery of grain facilities, quarries, aggregate plants and factories: if the belt stops, everything stops. And the belt lives on steel. At Indumor we fabricate those structures and the spares that keep them running.

The parts of the system

  • Trestles: the ground supports, galvanized or painted, with anchored bases.
  • Lattice bridges: elevated spans crossing roads, stockpiles or equipment, with maintenance walkways.
  • Transfer towers: where one belt discharges onto another — they concentrate chutes, wear and maintenance.
  • Idler frames and supports: the small steel that carries the daily rolling.

What drives the design

Belt width and tonnage, span between supports, wind (long outdoor conveyors work like sails) and maintenance access: a walkway alongside the belt pays for itself at the first repair.

Wear goes where the material hits

Discharge chutes, skirts and impact zones go first. The solution: bolted sacrificial liners, changed in hours during a planned shutdown instead of emergency welding on a Sunday.

Spares while the belt keeps running

We survey your line and fabricate the critical assemblies BEFORE they fail: the struck trestle, the corroded span, the new chute. Come the shutdown, swap and done — built to print with verification so it fits without rework.
