Waste containers

Drawing of a hook-lift roll-off container, a skip and a 1 m³ wheeled bin

A steel box that works every day

A waste container never sits still. It gets loaded by excavator, dragged, pulled onto a truck, tipped and set down again, hundreds of times a year. What makes it last is not plate thickness alone, but where each stiffener goes and how well it fits the truck that lifts it.

At Indumor we build the three types used by waste collection and environmental service companies: roll-off containers for hook-lift or cable hoist trucks, skips for chain skip loaders and 1 m³ wheeled bins. With our steel or yours, one at a time or in series.

These are the sizes that keep coming up in the Argentine market. We also build to order: for a shorter truck, a lower box for heavy waste, a lid, a tailgate or a thicker floor.

To try sizes, plates and weights first, use the container calculator in our Engineering Suite (in Spanish): it checks plate, posts, floor and lifting pins against the waste you plan to carry.

What makes a good container

Fit to the truck

Hook bar height, rail spacing and roller size come from the truck that will lift it. We take them from the truck before building, not from a catalogue.

The floor

It takes the most punishment: bucket loading, tipping and dragging. It goes one plate size thicker than the sides, with cross members close together.

Side posts

Waste pushes the walls outwards. Posts every 600 mm and a tubular top rail keep the box straight even when it is filled to the brim.

Continuous welds

Full-length welds on the floor and corners, so water does not get between plates and liquids do not drip out. Lifting pins in SAE 1045 steel.

Per unit or per kilo

We quote each container finished, with steel and paint, ready to work. For large fleets we also offer fabrication per kilo with your own materials: you supply plate, sections, castors and paint, and we cut, fit, weld and paint them, with an agreed monthly minimum.

To quote, tell us which truck will lift them, what waste they will carry and how many you need per month.

Frequently asked

It depends on the truck you already have. Hook-lift is faster and the driver does not get out to couple; a cable hoist is simpler and cheaper to fit. We can build the same body with either front.
The truck's lifting gear limits it, not the volume. A 28 m³ roll-off full of mixed waste weighs about 14 t; full of rubble it would pass 40 t, which no ordinary truck can lift. For rubble, a lower box is better.
Yes: new floors, posts, rims, pins and rollers. It pays to check the floor and the lifting pins before they fail on the truck.
